If you’re a fan of Twitter, and really…who isn’t, you might be looking for a Twitter icon to use on your site to get people to follow you. Below are 7 places to find original Twitter icons and graphics that can be used freely.

1. Smashing Magazine

This is a link to a “Twitter Icon” search on Smashing Magazine. These guys are an amazing resource for icons, and other free web tools.

2. Productive Dreams

A very nice vector set by Productive Dreams. Images are free to use, and there are four different poses for their bird.

3. Chris Wallace

A free Twitter icon set with three cute little baby Twitter birds for you to enjoy. The icon set includes four different .PNG image sets (32×32, 48×48, and 80×80) and the original .AI file so you can modify and create different variations. Make sure to read the license for rules about using them.

4. Productive Dreams

This is Productive Dreams’ second release with SmashingMagazine.com. Comes with 6 icons (360×360 high quality transparent PNGs). You can freely use them for both your private and commercial projects, including software, online services, templates and themes. However, the icons may not be offered for free downloading from websites other than SmashingMagazine.com and ProductiveDreams.com

5. Kailoon

This is a very non-tradional looking Twitter bird icon. The set contains a 345px X 345px and 48px X 48px png file. Even though it looks nothing like most twitter icons, I still really like the design of this one.

6. Blog Solute

This is more of a resource for twitter icons. There seven sets from other designers all listed, so you may have seen these on other sites, but their all great looking icons you should have no problem finding room for on your own site.
